Three animated films that speak to young First Nations people about vaping, in their world and on their terms.
Overview
Health messages that land because they come from community.
OYO Studio partnered with Lung Foundation Australia, alongside Na Joomelah, on a vaping-awareness campaign for young First Nations people. We designed and produced three animated films, each made to engage and educate while respecting cultural values and perspectives. The films carry essential health messages, and they do it in a way that builds connection and understanding rather than talking down.
Open what you want to dig into.
Raise awareness of the harm vaping does and encourage healthier choices among young First Nations people. Working with Lung Foundation Australia, the campaign set out to educate and to inspire action, without lecturing.
Young First Nations people across Australia, a group uniquely exposed to the rise in vaping. Cultural sensitivity and inclusivity sat at the centre of the work, not added on at the end.
The work came together across four strands:
Invite young First Nations people to watch the films, understand what vaping really does, and carry the conversation about lung health back into their own communities.
Made with Na Joomelah, honouring First Nations perspectives.

The approach
Meet them where they are. Respect where they're from.
