Objective
The objective of this campaign was to raise awareness about the harmful effects of vaping among young First Nations people and encourage healthier lifestyle choices. OYO Studio, a leading Brisbane graphic design studio, collaborated with the Lung Foundation to create a culturally sensitive campaign that not only educates but also inspires action. This campaign aimed to foster a deeper understanding of vaping’s impact while empowering young individuals to prioritize their health and well-being.
Target Audience
The campaign focused on young First Nations people across Australia, a demographic uniquely vulnerable to the growing prevalence of vaping. By emphasizing cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, the project aimed to resonate deeply with this audience while encouraging community-wide engagement and conversation.
Campaign Strategy
- Brand Identity Development
OYO Studio, a trusted creative design studio, worked with the Lung Foundation and Na Joomelah to craft a culturally relevant campaign identity. This identity prioritised authenticity, ensuring all materials honoured First Nations perspectives and values. - Content Creation
Three impactful animated videos were designed and produced by OYO Studio. Each video conveyed critical health messages in a visually engaging and culturally respectful way. As a Brisbane design studio committed to purpose-driven design, OYO ensured the animations blended compelling storytelling with actionable health insights. - Community Engagement
Collaborations with First Nations health organizations and leaders helped amplify the campaign’s reach and authenticity. Influential voices within the community were engaged to champion the campaign and share its messages. - Website Integration
The campaign’s messaging and materials were supported by a dedicated landing page. The page featured the animated videos, educational resources about vaping, and information tailored to First Nations communities.
Call to Action
The campaign’s primary call to action was to encourage young First Nations people to watch the animated videos, learn about vaping’s impact, and engage in community discussions about lung health. By framing the issue in a culturally relevant way, the campaign empowered individuals to make informed choices and seek support when needed.
At OYO Studio, we pride ourselves on blending creativity with purpose, and this project exemplifies our commitment to delivering impactful campaigns that drive positive change. From concept development to final production, our team worked closely with the Lung Foundation and Na Joomelah to ensure the messaging was authentic and resonated deeply with the intended audience. These animations serve as a powerful tool to spark important conversations and empower young First Nations people to make informed decisions about their health.
